Established in 1954, ABP Food Group (“ABP”) is one of Europe’s leading beef and lamb processors, working with over 45,000 farmers to deliver a broad range of fresh and frozen meat and meat products to the retail, wholesale and foodservice markets in Europe and worldwide. ABP is also active in petfood manufacturing, animal by-products and renewables. Headquartered in Ardee, Co. Louth, with over 14,000 employees, ABP has operations across Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and mainland Europe.
In 2024, ABP partnered with Storm Technology with the aim of modernising an existing approval process by adopting innovative technology. To help streamline the process, boost efficiency and optimise time management, it was decided that low-code solution development platform, Microsoft Power Platform would be the technology of choice.
By digitising the workflow, ABP created a central repository database of approvals, improving efficiency and tracking, while enhancing transparency and control across the organisation. The introduction of the app, via a phased rollout process, also enhanced communication while continuing to adopt the latest technologies to remain relevant in the ever-evolving world of technology.
