Bridge to Cloud - Why Now is the Time to Migrate to Business Central Online
With the Bridge to the Cloud 2 offer expiring at the end of 2025, today’s article outlines why businesses need to seize the opportunity to migrate their ERP to the cloud, and how the Bridge to Cloud offer will evolve in 2026.
With its continued focus on helping organisations unlock the power of the cloud, Microsoft has announced the launch of the Bridge to Cloud 3 (BTC3) offer, which will replace the existing Bridge to Cloud 2 promotion, beginning January 1st, 2026.
What Is the Bridge to Cloud Promotion?
The upcoming Bridge to Cloud 3 promotion offers eligible customers a 30% discount on three-year term subscriptions for Business Central. However, this is a 10% reduction in discount compared to the current Bridge to Cloud 2 offer (40%), meaning organisations who want to avail of extra savings on licenses need to take advantage of the Bridge to Cloud 2 offer while they still can, and commit to their Business Central online migration by December 31st 2025.
While Bridge to Cloud 3 reduces the discount compared to Bridge to Cloud 2, it will continue many of the same benefits. For example, customers with an active Enhancement Plan (EP) will be able to renew at no extra cost during the promotional term. BTC3 will also include additional savings for businesses with high concurrency that are migrating from NAV to Business Central online.

What Does This Mean for Business Central On-Premises Users?
For businesses still running on-prem versions of Business Central, the existing Bridge to Cloud 2 promotion provides a timely opportunity to modernise their ERP system before costs rise. Microsoft has announced that Business Central prices will increase by 14% from the November 1, 2025, so locking in a cloud subscription now can help organisations avoid these prices and maximise savings.
Additionally, support for on-premises systems is steadily being reduced, while cloud-first innovation continues to accelerate. Moving to the cloud ensures that businesses don’t miss out on new features, integrations, and security updates.
