According to Microsoft, 70% of workers say they would delegate as much work as possible to AI to help manage their workload. Fortunately, Microsoft is helping businesses tap into the power of AI to do more with less and combat heavy workloads with its AI-powered work assistant, Copilot. Integrable across Dynamics 365 apps, Copilot has the potential to save you hours of manual tasks and help you to maximise your time and productivity at work. Below we discuss some of Copilot’s capabilities across Dynamics 365.

Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and Marketing

In order to make your business stand out in a crowded market, marketers must be able to create personalised content to target consumers more effectively. AI helps marketers to accurately target customers by using data surrounding customer demand and market trends.

With Copilot in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, marketing teams no longer require a data analyst to interpret customer data. Using simple natural language prompts, users can simply ask Copilot questions to better understand their target market.

For example, if a marketer wants to identify customers that reside in a certain location, who also have made a purchase in the last 3 months, Copilot can produce in-depth information about these customers including their average age, product preferences and average spend. Such insights can then be used by the marketing team to better target a customer group or to develop a campaign. Copilot helps marketers to extract important information that can help them to gain a deeper understanding of the market, accurately target customers and improve campaigns.

In D365 Marketing, users can create or segment markets using Copilot’s query assist. Rather than manually selecting data filters and tables, marketers can simply describe the contacts they wish to engage with, such as “all contacts under the age of 40 living in Dublin city”, and Copilot will add the results to the segment builder. This enables marketers to create market segments in real-time without the need for complex data structures, freeing your marketing team to focus on more complex value-add tasks.

Further, marketers can also use Copilot in D365 Marketing to generate fresh ideas for email campaigns from a simple request. The marketer can enter up to five key points that must be contained in the email campaign and the content ideas feature, powered by Azure OpenAI Service, will generate a set of unique text suggestions for a campaign. Copilot helps you generate creative content while saving you hours of brainstorming and editing.

Copilot in Microsoft Supply Chain Centre and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management

In recent years, supply chains have seen extensive disruptions following unforeseen circumstances ranging from a global pandemic to wars. To help businesses predict and prepare for disruptions in the supply chain, Microsoft has created AI-enabled supply chain management. AI can highlight information from the news module to help businesses detect issues that may affect supply chains, from geo-political news to harsh weather, allowing businesses to act proactively and minimise the damage associated with supply chain disruptions.

Not only does AI provide these important insights, but it also takes action by generating emails to help solve any supply chain issues in real-time. Supply chain managers can collaborate with disrupted suppliers to update ETAs or even re-route purchase orders according to the disruption, for example an extreme weather event, allowing businesses to deal with supply chain problems in the most effective way.

Copilot in Dynamics 365 Business Central

Similarly, Copilot in Business Central can help boost productivity within your Finance function. You can now use Copilot to create AI-generated product descriptions. Simply input a product’s title and key features such as size, colour and material and Copilot will create a compelling product description that can be tailored even further by inputting your desired length and tone. Copilot makes it easier than ever to be consistent in delivering engaging product descriptions.
