AI Functionality

With growing demand for AI features across digital solutions, Microsoft has remained at the fore of innovation, infusing its products with AI functionality to transform user experience, and Power Platform is no exception. Both developers and end-users benefit from AI enhancements with Power Platform. Developers can use Copilot in Power Apps to build functional solutions effortlessly using natural language. Copilot can also assist with data models, adding tables, analysing data, creating fomulae and more. With the help of Copilot, solution creation can be reduced from hours to just a few minutes. For end-users, Copilot can be used in applications built on Dataverse to help with tasks like drafting text, completing forms and filtering records. This means users can save valuable work hours on repetitive manual tasks and focus on more value-added tasks that require a human touch.

Security & Data Governance

With Power Platform premium licenses, users benefit from advanced governance capabilities and a robust control framework for both secure and scalable low-code adoption through Managed Environments. Microsoft’s roadmap for Power Platform promises to bring further enhancements with additional features in lifecycle management, monitoring, security, compliance and enterprise-scale administration.

Accessible Development

The simplicity of the drag and drop interface used to design and develop solutions with Power Platform makes it highly accessible to both technologists and citizen developers, making it much faster and easier for organisations to design and integrate custom solutions to help tackle their unique business challenges. As well as that, Power Platform users benefit from a robust network of system integrators to enhance solution functionality and compatibility with a large range of business systems.

Popularity in the Market

Microsoft has a large global market across all its solutions, including Power Platform which continues to gain a significant number of users every year. In fact, Power Platform has seen a user growth rate of approximately 72% year over year, with Gartner even estimating that Power Apps has the largest user base of any enterprise low-code application platform.

The Power Accelerator Program

Microsoft has invested heavily in its Power Accelerator Program to provide enterprise customers with expert Power Platform implementation guidance. By providing a success strategy, tailored programs, best practices and other tools for implementation, the Power Accelerator Program helps organisations maximise their return on investment in Power Platform.
