As part of Microsoft’s Power Platform, Power Pages is a low-code platform that can be used to build custom, scalable websites and webpages that can be used either internally or externally. Power Pages provides users with pre-built templates and no-code elements like images, forms, lists and videos that can all be added to your website via a simple, drag-and-drop interface. There are also customisable themes that can be aligned with your brand, so businesses can easily create engaging and on-brand webpages. As Power Pages are built on a standardised framework, websites and webpages automatically render across all platforms, so your business can reduce the time and cost of configuring the page to function on desktop and mobile devices. Businesses can also enhance their webpages and sites with advanced functionality through tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps.

The recent announcement of AI-powered assistant, Copilot, coming soon to Power Pages will further accelerate website creation with features that transform how users design and manage pages. Using natural language, users can simply describe the type of webpage they want to Copilot, which will then generate the page with the desired text and imagery that can then be customised as necessary. As well as creating pages, Copilot will assist with applying your brand styling and colours, and creating additional elements like forms, tables and text.

But how can businesses actually use Power Pages? Below we discuss some interesting use case examples that can help businesses see the real value in Power Pages.

Customer Self-Service Portal – Enhance customer experience with a self-service web portal where customers can carry out support inquiries, make appointments or reservations, and manage their accounts or profiles.

Partner Portal – Improve partner support with a portal where partners can view order management, vendor support, and supplier onboarding. Allow easy access to shared documents, project updates, communication channels and more to enhance collaboration and strengthen partner relationships.

Employee Portal – Equip staff with real-time access to the tools they need with an employee portal that provides access to company policies, employee contracts, important documents, annual leave requests and a space for training materials and IT support.

Citizen Services – Streamline processes such as licensing, permitting, incident reports and applications in state and local government organisations with a custom citizen services page.

FAQ Page – Create a page providing answers to frequently asked questions about your products, services and policies to help customers find the information they need quickly and easily.

Data Collection – Share forms and surveys to collect data surrounding topics like employee and customer satisfaction. You can then integrate your Power Page with Power BI to build clear, comprehensive visuals and reports using the data to help drive data-driven decision-making.

Member Portal – Boost member engagement with a membership or association portal that provides access to member resources and content. Allow members to find and manage their membership and subscription information effortlessly.

Project Management – Create a collaborative project management portal that enables teams to easily coordinate projects with access to project timelines, resources, tasks and assignments. Users can tailor the portal to suit the needs of their industry, for example, non-profit organisations can track grant applications and donor interactions, while construction companies can manage subcontractors.

Events Registration – Implement a portal to allow attendees to register for events and see important information like agenda, time and location. Event organisers can then track and manage registrations in real-time.

These are just some examples of the wide range of use cases of Power Pages. It’s important to note that Power Pages is a flexible development solution that can help you build sites and pages tailored specifically to your organisation’s unique processes or workflows. Seamless integration with other elements of Power Platform such as Power Automate (low-code automation solution) or Power BI (low-code data visualisation tool) can further enhance the capabilities of your Power Page.
