Storm Technology shortlisted for 2 Tech Excellence Awards
We are proud to announce that Storm Technology has been shortlisted for two Tech Excellence Awards, recognising the impact our work continues to deliver across both the private and public sectors in Ireland.
The Tech Excellence Awards celebrate organisations and teams that are driving meaningful change through technology, innovation and digital transformation. Being shortlisted for both the Private and Public Sector Project of the Year in 2026 is a significant milestone for Storm and a strong endorsement of the outcomes we deliver for our customers.
Private Sector Project of the Year: NetZero Group
Storm Technology has been shortlisted for Private Sector Project of the Year for our work with NetZero Group, Ireland’s leading design, delivery and maintenance partner of sustainable infrastructure.
This award recognises outstanding technology projects that deliver measurable business value within the private sector. For Storm, being shortlisted highlights our ability to support high-growth organisations with complex operational and governance requirements.
Following a period of rapid acquisition and expansion, NetZero required a unified, scalable enterprise platform to standardise operations, improve financial governance and support future growth. Storm partnered with NetZero to design and implement 4PS Construct, a construction‑specific ERP solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, supported by Solver for corporate performance management (CPM).
The project delivered significant results, including accelerated month‑end close processes, improved real‑time visibility across the group and a future‑ready operating model capable of scaling with the business. The project now underpins eight companies across multiple divisions, providing NetZero with a single source of truth for financial and operational decision‑making.
Public Sector Project of the Year: National Shared Services Office (NSSO)
Storm has also been shortlisted for Public Sector Project of the Year for our work with the National Shared Services Office (NSSO), a key provider of HR, payroll and finance services across the Irish public sector.
This category recognises projects that demonstrate tech innovation, efficiency and service improvement within public sector organisations. This shortlist reflects Storm’s growing track record in delivering secure, impactful digital solutions aligned with public sector priorities.
NSSO partnered with Storm to address a long‑standing operational challenge within HR absence management, where thousands of medical certificates were being processed manually each month, resulting in significant backlogs and administrative burden. The solution developed leveraged Azure Document Intelligence alongside robotic process automation (RPA) to automate the processing of medcerts.
The project has delivered transformational outcomes, including the elimination of a multi‑year backlog, substantial efficiency gains for HR teams and improved employee experience. Importantly, the solution was designed with a strong focus on data security and governance, ensuring sensitive information is handled safely and in line with public sector standards.
Being shortlisted for two Tech Excellence Awards is a testament to the strength of our partnerships with NetZero and NSSO, and to the dedication of our delivery teams. We are proud to see these projects recognised for the real‑world impact they continue to deliver, and we look forward to celebrating with all nominees at the awards ceremony on the 14th of May at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire.
